Steven Rhondeau, MD
Dr. Steven Rhondeau is co-founder of the Alliance for International Medicine. A graduate of the University of Utah School of Medicine, he trained at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and the University of Utah in anesthesiology. In addition to his general practice, he is also the founder and former director of the Intermountain Healthcare Anesthesia Acute Pain and Palliative Care Service, and has broad experience in all areas of his profession, including cardiac, trauma, transplant and regional anesthesia. He has practiced medicine all over the world having worked in Peru, Kenya, China, Brazil, Haiti, Mexico, Guatemala and Cambodia. An adjunct assistant professor at the University of Utah’s School of Medicine, Dr. Rhondeau is currently working with the University’s Center for Global Surgery to develop guidelines for implementing diagnostic ultrasound techniques and advanced anesthesia care in developing countries.
