Dr. Lanspa serves on the Board of Advisors for the Alliance for International Medicine. He is an Associate professor of Critical Care Medicine and pulmonary medicine at Intermountain Medical center and is an adjunct associate professor at the University of Utah. He holds board certifications in Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Critical Care Echocardiography. Dr. Lanspa is an international expert in Critical Care Ultrasound and Echocardiography. He has taught ultrasound and
echocardiography nationally and internationally for several professional societies. He’s held leadership positions within the American Thoracic Society, Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the American Society of Echocardiography. He directs the Intermountain Critical Care Echocardiography Service and Core Imaging Research Lab. As a clinical scientist, he’s led government-funded original research in ultrasound and has published extensively in critical care and ultrasonography.
